Solar Energy Is
Free Sun Power

Solar energy is long overdue to emerge as one of the primary sources of power in these coming days of alternative, renewable energy.

Where are we now with using solar energy? In the United States, with President Bush pushing for increased energy production within the U.S., there' nary a mention of Solar energy as being part of the solution. Solar power is already proven to be a very good source of energy at the least as a supplimental source. Solar has the unique value of providing two forms of alternative energy. Not only is is a source for providing heat energy directly, it is also able to be converted into electric power thru the photovoltaic process. As soon as some creative person comes up with better way of storing this energy, there will be a huge explosion in it's use! I personally think that improving on battery storage technology is not the solution we're searching for. Some bright, creative individual will come up with something entirely new and never tried successfully before. Einstein's theory of relativity will once again provide the answer to this challenge in a way that will surprise us!

In the meantime, why aren't we using the power that's already available to reduce overall energy consumption? Maybe there should be tax incentatives reinstated for providing a strong reason to begin installing alternative, renewable energy resources including solar power once again. I have no doubts that we already have the technology developed that would reduce the reliance on fossil fuels by at least fifty (50) percent! In the case of the U.S., that would almost completely eliminate their reliance on foreign oil imports! So, why isn't there a massive effort put forth to promote this? There must be tremendous pressures being applied by the fossil fuel conglomerants to detour any such efforts.

Of course, there is conflicting information coming out even now about the amount of fossil fuel reserves. Even if the reserve quantity were to be revised upwards, why wouldn't it be a good idea to implement conservation measures now to extend the time when we must completely wean ourselves of this source of energy. Even if the byproducts of burning fossil fuels were proven to be basically inert, there must be a saturation point where we can't have more of them put into the air and water and earth.
